I'm releasing this source for my tutorial to make sense!

Okay, to start this off this has been a HUGE project to capture the likeness of runescape into a 317 server, This was originally started by Myself and Brandon, and soon our team expanded to Djappelle - James, Hide n Seek - James and of course, Me. we used HybridPvP as the base, and ripped the summoning base and Summoning Tab out of ErasedPkz and added some small things to it and fixed bugs, everything else is Hard Coded and has had a lot of work put into this by all of us who have been part of this the past few months.
Not only was this a successful project, but we managed to host this server, and got to Page 1 of google, with a Maximum hit of 153 Players Online, the server Load was only at roughly 25%.. Pretty much means this server could hold around a good 600-700 Players Depending on your VPS.

The reason why we have decide to release this is that we have grown tired and we had all of the fun from this project that there possibly was to of been had, it has been a great learning experience, and now it is time to give back to the community so other people can have as much fun with this as we did.

This means...NO ANTI-LEECH
Out of common respect if you use this base, it would be nice for some recognition with a reply, or some Thanks.
And if you release a server with this as a base, some credits would be nice

Rs2 Development. / How to host your own RSPS

Guide on how to host your own Rsps

Lately there was some new RsPsRanks users joining the community(like usual) which had no idea on how to make a Rsps. Thinking they only had to download a source and run a client and it would be available to all players. No. I will show you a full tutorial on how to setup a rsps and running one(With Joining players). It is a easy tuturial to follow if you follow step by step.

Before you start the tuturial remember to download JDK


First Step is Optional, but recommended just in case you change your IP.
Go to No-ip.com and locate on the top right corner.

Create a account, and put valid information and Log in once you finish your registration.

Click on "Host/Redirects", we are going to Redirect a DNS to your ip.


Then Click "Add Host"

Now to create and name your DNS. Put your server name, and chose any free domain, but leave the rest alone!


Now it should look like this


Now download and install the Latest Version DUC by No-ip.org

Connect the DUC and tick the DNS(No-ip) you have made.

Step 2 is to Port Foward your firewall
This is [COLOR="red"]Mandatory[/COLOR] in order for players to join your server.

Third Step involves picking a source and client. Pick any from the RsPsRanks Downloads Page
I will be using Soulsplit source under the 474 revision.
1.Download source,client, and cache.
2.Go to your client. and right click "client.java" and edit with notepad.
3.We are going to change IP of the client to connect to! Press "Ctrl+f" and type in "server ="
4.Once you find it. Type in your no-ip with in the parenthesis

5. Save it and then close. and Run the "2. Compile.bat"
6.If you get the Message "The System cannot find the specified." Right click the compile.bat and edit and change "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21\bin\javac.exe" to "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_25\bin\javac.exe"
7.Compile your client again and it should work.
8.Run your source, then run your client and log in. Enjoy! :o

I have been owner of my own server, and currently owner of VeXtrania. VeXtrania is a new server launched on New Years Eve which has Castle Wars, 9+ Minigames, 10+ Bosses,Etc. I have been member on rs-ps.biz, when the community was known as RsLock.

- How Long can you be on Per Day -

How long can I be on per Day, I can be on 4-3 hours on weekdays,6-8 Hours on weekends.

- What Days of they Week can you be on -

Everyday.

- Why should you be Chosen (explain) -

Like I said before, I was member on RsLock for being so active. I know this is not RsLock anymore, but it doesn't change the fact it's still owned by the person who owned RsLock. A key point of a community is having interactive conversations. I want to make the forums as active as possible and also keeping the peace between members flaming, spamming, etc.

- Other Information -
I was known as Terror on RsLock. People who may Know me is ThatchDog, Jake, Justin. I also could get you a IP board, or SMF installed on rspsrank.net, I really dislike smfnew due to the fact. IT IS LAGGY AS HELL! I'm learning Java Programming. I'm familiar with HTML, CSS, and hacking. Yes I can destroy people's computer or website, but I prevent it instead.
